The local government elections for 2021 were held on
Saturday 4 December 2021
for the election of councillors.
Councillors are elected for a four year term, held on the second Saturday in September every four years. The postponement of 2020 Local Government elections to 4th September 2021, will not effect the schedule of subsequent council elections. After September 2021 elections, the next Local Government election will take place in September 2024.
