Each year our nation celebrates the achievement and contribution of Australians through various awards for Australia Day, and awards that are associated with Australia Day.
The Hay Australia Day Awards Ceremony was held at the Hay Gaol Museum on

The Australia Day Awards for 2022 were presented by this year's ambassador, Sophie Smith, in recognition of the contribution that many individules and organisations make to their local community each year. Sophie Smith is the founder and managing director of the Running for Premature Babies Foundation, and was named 2019 NSW Local Hero in the Australian of the year awards.
