Important Flood Advice - Update 28 October 2022

Update 28 October 2022 (1pm)
Current River height: 8.68m and steady
Rainfall: Next 2 days forecast is still looking pretty good with minimal rain forecast. Next rain band expected Sunday/Monday/Tuesday.
Predicted River Peak: 8.8m peak on Sunday (less than the 2012 floods -8.99m and comparable to the 2016 event -8.69m). The BOM website indicates further rises are possible, however we are prepared for this scenario.
Flood Levee: Closing off flood gates as the river rises with 24 gates closed, and 28 pumps have been or being set up accordingly to remove any water from rainfall. We ask for patience as staff start pumps to remove water built up from any rainfall.
Council crews: Continuing to monitor the levees and inspecting known hot spots, and have staff patrolling 24hrs a day.
Water levels in both Booligal and Maude are being monitored and assistance provided where required. We are expecting large inflows from the lower Mirrool Creek over the coming days and weeks.
Road Closures: The following roads are closed due to water over road, however local residents can still access with caution;
๐Ÿ”ธ Old Thelangerin Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Alma Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Boxyards Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Nap Nap Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Hay Weir Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Ti-Tree Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Sidonia Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Lara Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Romani Road
๐Ÿ”ธ Jerilderie Road.
If you require flood assistance please contact SES on ๐Ÿ“ž132 500.
