Important Flood Advice
With the impending flooding predicted for Hay, Council has commenced its preparations to keep the community safe.
The predicted flood level from the latest advice is 8.4m, which is less than the 2012 floods and comparable to the 2016 event.
From tomorrow, Council staff will starting closing off flood gates as the river rises, and pumps have been set up accordingly to remove any water from rainfall.
Council crews have commenced monitoring of the levees and inspecting known hot spots, and will have staff patrolling at night.
