'Non-collection Notice’ sticker

Starting in January, occasionally residents may find a sticker on one of your kerbside bins.

A green ‘Non-collection Notice’ sticker means the collection truck driver was not able to empty the bin.

There are a few reasons why this may happen
• Bin facing the wrong way
• Not a Council approved bin
• Bin too heavy (must not exceed 80kg)
• Bin overfull
• Bin is contaminated – this could be with plastic bags, general garbage, soil etc

Council staff will leave a sticker on the bin stating why it has not been picked up. Residents will need to address the issue identified on the sticker before Councils next collection.

If any resident requires further information or assistance, please contact the Council office on (02) 6990 1100.

Hay Shire Council thanks the residents of Hay for their assistacne while we transition to the new three bin waste system. More information on the system is available here New 3 bin waste system
