Recycling Tip - Wood and Timber
Do You Know the Difference Between Wood and Timber?

While wood and timber might seem similar, they’re handled very differently when it comes to recycling:

πŸͺ΅ Wood – This includes sticks, branches, and pruning's from nature. It can go straight into your green-lidded FOGO bin to be composted into nutrient-rich soil. 🌱

πŸͺš Timber – This is processed wood that contains chemicals, paints, and adhesives, which can contaminate compost. Timber should be taken to your local recycling centre or transfer station for proper recycling.
