Thank you to RAMROC (now RAMJO) Riverina Waste Group for coordinating a grant from the EPA under the Litter Reduction Grants Program to improve one of our recreational areas.
Under the program Pocock Park was identified for Hay as a "hot spot" for litter due to its location near main highways. As part of this litter reduction program, a cleanup of the site was undertaken and waste disposal facilities were provided (as shown in the photo, we received a new bin, a cigarette tray and dog bag dispenser, both attached to the new bin).
The new bin with attachments is located on the southern side of Pocock Park in South Hay and is ready for use!
