The Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) introduced new requirements for councils to prepare and make local strategic planning statements. Council considered its draft Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS) at the March Ordinary meeting. The statement identifies planning priorities for the Shire and explains how they will be delivered. They also show how Council will monitor and report on how the priorities are being implemented.
The draft LSPS is on exhibition for public comment from and can viewed on the Council website
www.hay.nsw.gov.au during that period. Submissions will be received up to 4pm 6th May 2020 and should be addressed to the General Manager, Hay Shire Council, PO Box 141, Hay.
