Works commenced on the new Sewage Treatment Plant

Council recently approved the tender for the augmentation of the Hay Sewage Treatment Plant to CCB Envico and this week work commenced on the site. It is expected the project will be completed in eleven months. 

Construction of the plant is being managed by NSW Public Works Advisory who liaise regularly with Council staff and contractors to ensure the works go to plan and budget.

Nimmie-Caira Future Announced

Some of NSW’s most significant wetlands will be transferred to the world’s largest conservation organisa-tion, which will work to conserve ‘Nimmie-Caira’, the iconic former irrigation property in the state’s south-west.

Draft Operational Plan 2018/19 and Budget On Exhibition

Hay Shire Council’s Draft Operational Plan for 2018/19 and budget are on exhibition for public comment from Wednesday 23^rd May to Friday 22^nd June. Any submissions received  will be considered at the Ordinary Council meeting of 26^th June 2018 where the Operational Plan will be approved and the rates for 2018/19 will be set.
