Hay Shire Council has on public exhibition its draft  Reconciliation Action Plan to provide Council with direction and planning towards reconciliation with the aim of strengthening our relationship with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Rural flood information sessions 28/06/23

The NSW Department of Planning and Environment’s Water Group is seeking recent and historical flood information from the community, modelling teams will be available to accept information covering rural areas and are seeking photographs, drone imagery or descriptions of flood behaviour from the 2022 floods and previous flooding events. The Hay session will on Wednesday 28 June, 9am to 12.30pm at he Hay Golf Club

Reg Hedley Memorial Trust Scholarship

Applicants are invited to apply for 2023 Reg Hedley Memorial Trust Scholarship. Applications should include, covering letter of application, proof of attendance to HWMHS, proof of acceptance into course of studies not less than 3 years duration at an Australian University leading to a degree or diploma from that University, applications are to be emailed to Rachael.hutchison@cba.com.au. Disposal of Waste Tyres Temporarily Ceased

Hay Shire Council advises residents that the acceptance for disposal of all waste tyres has temporarily ceased at all Councils Waste Disposal Sites. This decision follows a recent assessment by NSW EPA of the facility’s storage procedures. Council will provide further updates when available.
